Also known as ACV is being used as a very powerful home remedy for several diseases. ACV due to it’s high acid content works as a perfect antimicrobial in killing the virus, HPV the reason for the wart. Take a few drops of ACV in cotton wool and dab it generously on the wart directly. There might be a slight tingling sensation or at times mild to strong burning sensation in and around the wart. That is when the ACV is working actively on the wart and removing the virus from the inner depths of the wart. This process followed every night before going to bed for a couple of weeks can lead to a smooth and soft wart free skin.
Garlic is immensely used for a safe and successful removal of warts since ages. Garlic with it’s strong sulphur content acts as a potent antiviral which arrests the growth of the HPV and doesn’t allow the wart to grow any further. Aromatic phenol in garlic, has immune boosting properties by which the body fights against the virus and eliminates it from the skin. Take a few pods of garlic, crush it with a pestle and mortar and apply it directly on the wart. Secure the crushed garlic with a tape and leave it overnight. Repeat the process till the wart is completely off your skin.
This is a very effective home remedy for removing warts from the roots. Banana peel has a powerful proteolytic enzyme which is extremely effective in neutralizing a wart and then smoothen it down to the skin. After eating a ripe banana, reserve the banana peel. Take a small portion of the banana peel and cut it as per the size of the wart so that it covers the wart completely. Cover the wart with the inner side of the banana peel and secure it with a tape. Keep it overnight and repeat the process till the wart comes out easily.
Honey which is high on antibacterial and antiviral properties can be used to remove a wart at home safely. Here a special mention should be laid on Manuka Honey which is found especially in New Zealand and is considered to be the best honey to cure warts. Due to it’s high concentration of several enzymes and nutrients, Manuka honey works faster on the warts. Honey when applied on the wart, deprives the wart of oxygen and the wart slowly wears off without much nutrition and oxygen. Apply a little Manuka honey on the wart, cover it with bandage and leave it overnight. Repeat the process till you see the wart disappearing.
This has been used since ages for several skin conditions and has yielded results. Due to the alkaline properties of raw potato skin, when applied on the wart, the alkaline conditions, doesn’t allow the virus in the wart to grow any further and arrests it’s growth and development and then gradually takes the wart out of the body completely. Wash a potato properly and peel the skin. Apply the fleshy side of the potato skin directly on the wart and secure it with a duct tape and keep it for 24 hours. Repeat the process till the wart comes out completely on it’s own. Raw potato skin is one of the best household cure for warts.
Vitamin C is usually very effective in treating warts. It can be either used alone or in combination with a few drops of lemon juice. It has high antioxidant properties while the acidic nature of lemon juice will have a dual action on the warts. Crush a Vitamin C tablet using a pestle and mortar and make a paste using a few drops of lemon juice. Apply this paste on the wart and leave it undisturbed for a few hours or till it dries up. Repeat this process for a few weeks, till satisfactory removal of warts.
Baking soda is a commonly used ingredient in every kitchen. It is highly effective in the removal of warts. Sodium Bicarbonate which is an alkaline substance creates a condition in and around the wart, whereby the virus is unable to develop and grow because of a hostile environment. A paste of baking soda mixed with water can be applied directly on the wart and kept for a few hours. Repeat the process 2-3 times in a day for a few weeks, till the wart comes out voluntarily without any pain.
The juice of pineapple is extremely acidic which helps erase the wart as well as the scar from the soon within a few weeks of application. The acidic property of pineapple kills the HPV and also creates an environment where the virus cannot grow any longer. Extract juice from pineapple and apply it directly on the wart with a cotton wool. You might feel a little stinging sensation due to the high acid content in pineapple which will disappear in a while. Repeat the process 2-3 times in a day for a couple of weeks till the wart goes away. Pineapple juice is one of the best household cure for warts.
Papain the enzyme present in papaya skin acts strongly on the warts and retards the growth of the virus. The fleshy side of the papaya skin can be applied directly on the wart and secured with a tape. Leave it overnight and repeat the process till the warts comes out on it’s own. The sap from a green papaya can be applied directly on the wart to achieve effective results. People have also successfully used the paste of raw papaya mashed in a mixer which has proved to be even stronger on the warts.
